Is Tiger Woods being treated too harshly by the media?

It's a simple question! Is Tiger Woods being treated too harshly by the media? I say YES!! As a Black man in America I'm all too aware of the lop sided treatment of minorities for the same actions as our white counter parts.

What I've noticed over the last week is a far to common phenomena here in America. Why is it when a Black man does something socially unacceptable the book is thrown at him and so much more compassion and forgiveness is given for the exact same offense committed by a white person.

So, why is it the media continues to bring Tiger's endorsements up when discussing his infidelity? What does one have to do with the other? People, Tiger's a human being an athlete not GOD!! He's entitled to make bad decisions and mistakes. I'm personally offended that Don Imus is still on the air but after all he has given us black folk charity over the years so that should wipe away any offense he has or will commit on us, NOT! Again, the HYPOCRISY of it is what upsets me so. Rich and famous white men cheat everyday and beat their spouses yet it is less talked about.

Why is it David Letterman's cheating only made the news for a few days? He actually admitted to it but only after it was unavoidable. To me David's situation is worse because he's much older than Tiger and should be wiser, the woman in question is much younger and a subordinate who may have gave in for fear of loosing her job!

Is this more of American Black/White hypocrisy? Please weigh in on my post perhaps we will all be a little more enlightened for it.
